Hi everyone. Tensions are high with SCREAM 7 releasing this week but I think it’d be great - if you’re able - to donate to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. If you’re boycotting, donate what you would have paid for a ticket. If you’re seeing the movie, match your ticket price

@lite_thespark He was - and obviously terms like Sith originate in the novelization, too - but this tweet is specifically responding to people complaining about characters not being named on screen :)

@ManaByte Yeah but it’s pre-reshoot, pre-knowing exactly what they’re doing with Secret Wars

@jodyscorner1 @JamesGunn Yeah I heard Zaslav was so displeased with Superman’s performance they added more Corenswet to Supergirl in reshoots

While I can not corroborate this entire rumor. I CAN, however verify that WB are scared of @jamesgunn's Man of Tomorrow box office potential after they were unhappy with Superman's $615M box office run. Zaslav was especially unpleased. Just like I was right when I announced "Waller" was shelved 2 years ago....
CINESOURCE@Real_CineSource

RUMOR: Man of Tomorrow funding will be cut substantially if Supergirl Bombs at the box office! Because David Corenswet is in Supergirl and he’s the star of MOT Studio heads are already looking to make financial cuts for the Superman sequel fearing the movie may underperform!

Rotten Tomatoes didn't introduce Verified Audience scores until 2019 so its only real competition is THE RISE OF SKYWALKER
Star Wars Holocron@sw_holocron

#TheMandalorianandGrogu has an 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes 🍅 This is the highest score of any Star Wars movie in history.

@Purepremium51 @ValliantRenegad Telling of what? Every Star Wars movie that’s ever opened on a Friday dropped 58%+ in weekend 2 save TFA, and that was saved by Christmas Day being its 2nd Friday.

@ValliantRenegad This movie is going to collapse once the movie reviewers and hardcore fans are gone. The second week will be very telling.

Star Wars Mando real 1st FRI numbers at $21M when you separate the $12M THURS previews. Rated R micro budget Horror flick Obsession 2nd (yes, SECOND) FRI is at $6M … These two films should not be THAT close. We should see something like 7-10x between these two. It shows how strong Obsession is running and how weak Mando is. When Backrooms drops next weekend, the floor will probably fall out under Mando’s feet, because Obsession is just kinda getting going. It’s going to make MORE in the 2nd weekend than it did in the 1st. And It’s doing this against the first Star Wars movie in 7 years. Let that sink in.

Looks like $25M SAT for #TheMandalorianAndGrogu. Solid SAT bump of ~18%. 2-day cume $58M. 3-day weekend headed for ~$82M. 4-day weekend can hit $100M. Had this film been released in 2022, the opening would have been quite a bit higher, but even now, this surpasses industry expectations. Good opening. Gotta set the record straight.

@JebBush2032 “Colonel” and “Emperor” are literally equivalent. I’m not justifying anything, I haven’t seen the movie and likely won’t for years if at all, it’s just funny when people get upset about certain aspects of the franchise that have always been there.

@ViewerAnon They very much do say “the emperor” in both ESB and ROTJ, a distinctive name compared to “colonel.” You don’t have to justify a shitty movie just in the interest of seeming fair. Some movies are shitty and that’s ok.

@TheEricGoldman Very bad faith comparison considering one is a minor antagonist introduced in a non canon largely hated (even by its creators) project, and one is a main character from a canon mainline project that has been featured in Star Wars many times before. but alright man.

One of the craziest things about The Empire Strikes Back is how Boba Fett is in the film but if you never watched The Star Wars Holiday Special, you would never know what his name is.
Nicholas@NicholasJLevi

One of the craziest things about Mandalorian & Grogu is how Zeb is in the film but if you never watched Rebels, you would never know what his name is They call him Zeb in the middle of the film once but this is after we have seen him for multiple scenes It’s dumb

#Obsession ending its Week 1 at $30.2M, adding $3.2M on THU. That's 10% higher than MON & just 28% down from its opening FRI. An exceptionally rare trend for the North American BO. 2nd weekend should be $20M+, possibly closer to $25M. $100M final feels likely. More? let's see.

@EckhartsLadder Thursday previews looking like $12-13M, so it’d need to be a fair bit more frontloaded than SOLO (which did $14M) to miss $75M 3-day.

@ManaByte I just do not understand this reasoning. Endgame made less than 10% of its gross in IMAX and Christmas gives 16 straight days where the majority of the audience is off work vs. 4 or 5 days for Thanksgiving.

@Darren_Mooney Why would Disney ever give up Christmas - aka the Force Awakens slot - and take Thanksgiving, which is way less lucrative? They’d be trading two weeks straight of days where people are off work for five days.
