Trying is nothing more than a means to an end. If you become proud of the effort itself you have mistaken the means for the end and you will never accomplish anything; if all we ever do is try and never succeed I ask you what is the point?

@MrBennett2021 @GadSaad Absolutely. I have Muslim friends and they are the most outspoken about against religious extremism within their own religion. They recognize that there are elements within their own religion that are not welcome here.

@GadSaad Gad - when people keep saying Islam and Islamists - are they just trying to be politically correct and avoid saying Muslim? Is there a difference?

Yesterday all the based American nationalists had something to say about the Ramadan prayer Tonight in Times Square, jews openly called for the coming of their messiah, the Anti-Christ. "We want moshiac now!" Notice how there is not a peep from them today. Goyim must unite.

@DaGhostDS @philthatremains This isn't a workers union retard, they have to hold a referendum and petition the US government for statehood. They would have to set up a representative democracy and draft a state constitution, get it approved by Congress then they pass legislation to admit the new state.

@Chees3loaf @Melissa06727370 @gtconway3d Condescending much? Of course I realize this. My point is that while the electoral college worked as the founders intended, we are in a completely different world now. The system no longer functions. The most effective way to fix the broken system is to have a popular vote.

Wow. What an incredible idea. We should write this system down on paper and call it, say, the Constitution
James West@James_West_PhD

Gorsuch is a G*d-d*mned genius: "For those who think it important for the Nation to impose more tariffs, I understand that today’s decision will be disappointing. All I can offer them is that most major decisions affecting the rights and responsibilities of the American people (including the duty to pay taxes and tariffs) are funneled through the legislative process for a reason. Yes, legislating can be hard and take time. And, yes, it can be tempting to bypass Congress when some pressing problem arises. But the deliberative nature of the legislative process was the whole point of its design. Through that process, the Nation can tap the combined wisdom of the people’s elected representatives, not just that of one faction or man. There, deliberation tempers impulse, and compromise hammers disagreements into workable solutions. And because laws must earn such broad support to survive the legislative process, they tend to endure, allowing ordinary people to plan their lives in ways they cannot when the rules shift from day to day. In all, the legislative process helps ensure each of us has a stake in the laws that govern us and in the Nation’s future. For some today, the weight of those virtues is apparent. For others, it may not seem so obvious. But if history is any guide, the tables will turn and the day will come when those disappointed by today’s result will appreciate the legislative process for the bulwark of liberty it is."

@gtconway3d Any eighth or ninth grader learning about US government would side with Gorsuch, too. A summary of the opinion could be “no taxation without representation.”

@gtconway3d Eighth generation Texan here struggling with how to even make a difference. 35 years of eligible voting in Republican primaries followed with general elections. And here I am again, voiceless. Helpless. God bless America?
