Today a young Gore Vidal would never even be let through the door by them. This is what we’ve lost. There are so many brilliant people in this country who are excluded from any influence while our worst mediocrities are elevated. Our culture is dominated by nepo babies and strivers. To have any chance of saving this country we need to demand truth in all things. That starts with truth about Israel. Every politician, every entertainer, every political pundit needs to have their feet held to the fire about this. By and large the people in this country know the truth. The question is whether we will have a government and a culture that represents us.
