And let’s get things correct here. Ther Persian ethnic group has been around a very long time. The Islamic regime running Iran is not old at all, and definitely not trustworthy based on their actions. The religion of Islam is also pretty young by religious standards, and very violent, regardless of how they try to depict themselves. See the Crusades, or really what caused the Crusades, for further clarification. So Mr. Chinaman … the hypocrisy is on you. We are quite tired from the terroristic threats from Islamic Iran. Israel is pretty done with being told they’re going to be wiped off the earth. We are quite annoyed and tired of the terrorism the Islamic Iran sponsors financially. Neither Israel nor the US is the bully here. It’s the culturally advanced societies of the US and Israel putting the bully back in his place. In no universe is Iran not culpable in this war. And yes, it is about nukes, and not oil. We don’t need their oil, nor do we do this because we like price hikes in our fuels bills. We are doing this because Islamic Iran didn’t play their cards right … and we hold all of the cards.

Reporter 🇺🇸 : Is the war really about Iran’s nuclear program? CHINA 🇨🇳 : “No it's all about oil.” Reporter: Why so? CHINA: “A warmongering Israel has nuclear weapons, but Iran — the oldest civilization — can’t have them. That’s America’s biggest double standard.” A slap in the face of global hypocrisy: Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal without accountability or oversight, while Iran is forbidden even from dreaming of defending itself. This is the ugly face of Western policy.

This is happening in the states as well. I see it here in west Texas. It’s a sad day when you find your country has to depend on others to feed them. We are not quite there yet, but not because the liberals aren’t trying. It’s very discouraging to see the UK fail so badly at this.

A farmer dies in April 2026. His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847. The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle. On paper, the farm is worth approximately £3.2 million. This is because land near him has been bought recently by a London hedge fund looking for carbon credits, which has dragged the comparable value of every field within forty miles upward to a number nobody local can justify. In cash, the farm produces a profit of about £28,000 a year in a good year. In a bad year it loses money. The son also works as a fencing contractor three days a week to keep the operation viable. The inheritance tax bill on a £3.2 million estate, even at the reduced 20% rate, comes to approximately £140,000 after the increased threshold is applied. The son does not have £140,000. The son has never had £140,000. The son has £4,200 in his current account and an overdraft. The son sells 60 acres to a developer to pay the tax. The developer puts solar panels on the 60 acres. The remaining herd cannot be sustained on the reduced land. The herd is sold. The barn becomes a holiday let. A different family eats Brazilian beef this Christmas without knowing why the price went up. The Treasury collects £140,000. The land never produces British food again.

I found that regulations do more to keep out small businesses as they enter the marketplace, rather than hold back the large companies. Big corporations have the money to manage regulations, and usually pass the cost on to the consumer. In fact, many lobbyists for large companies are involved with the creation and writing of regulations. New entrants rarely have the money to adapt to new or even current regulations. It’s one of the ways governments and large companies keep competition at bay. Our current government is less capitalist, even less socialist, and more corporatist. Large companies seem to have undue influence on our politics. The small business population has been diminishing since the late 80’s, or truly even before then. It used to make up a significant part of our economy. Now small business is less than 40%, if I remember correctly. It truly affects employment as well.

@dmweisberger So you think the conglomerates will just stand by passively ? They wouldn’t take advantage of the lack of regulations to do anything they could to stop all competitors ?

Ok. Take government completely out of healthcare. No rules. No laws. No Medicare. No Medicaid. Hospitals, insurance companies, can do anything they want. What do they do ? If you were running any of the biggest insurance companies or hospitals, what would you do differently once gov was completely out of healthcare ?
Matthew Bednarik@BednarikMatt

@mcuban @GovBillLee Or just let the free market compete and get the government out of Healthcare. A free market would inevitably lead to lower costs for consumers.

Talarico is a buffoon who tries to sound compassionate to perceived victims. Not a snowflake’s chance in Hell he wins.
Reverend Jordan Wells@WellsJorda89710

🚨 James Talarico is the MOST DANGEROUS radical left candidate to EVER run for U.S. Senate in Texas. 🚨 He’ll get crushed — even if by a narrow margin — once real Texans wake up to who he really is. This guy is a progressive Democrat who: • Declared on the Texas House floor: “God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is non-binary.” Then added: “Trans children are God’s children, made in God’s own image. There’s nothing wrong with them — nothing at all.” • Loves trans children so much he says it’s what he loves most (besides family). Pushes pronouns, gender ideology in schools, and opposes bans on boys in girls’ sports. • Wants the southern border like our front porch — with a giant welcome mat out front. • Called “radicalized white men” the greatest domestic terrorist threat in America. • Pushed DEI indoctrination in public schools and forcing districts to hire DEI officers. • Attacks Christian nationalism as “un-Christian,” says some atheists are more Christ-like than Republican Christians, and slams bills like posting the Ten Commandments. • Uses the Bible to defend abortion and wants it fully codified with no restrictions. • Supports raising taxes on the wealthy, breaking up “billionaire power,” expanding government healthcare/childcare/housing programs, and framing everything as “top vs. bottom” class warfare. • Opposes corporate PACs and stock trading for Congress (while running as the ultimate big-government progressive). James Talarico — vegan (or at least accused of it), former teacher, seminary guy — wraps all this in “progressive Christianity” and “love your neighbor” through bigger government. Texas is a red state for a reason. This radical record won’t fly here. Spread this far and wide so every Texan knows before November. 🇨🇱 #TexasSenate #TalaricoExposed #NoRadicalTexas

Cornyn is losing any kind of republican good will he tried to acquire over his last 5 terms. Knowing you are losing, and continuing to try and dog your primary opponent over fabricated charges already litigated, shows you were never a conservative republican. It’s all about being in power for you. Dems love that shit in their own party. Aren’t we supposed to be above all that? It’s time for Cornyn to start some heavy mea culpas to the party faithful, though he rarely been on our side.

Leftists have no idea of the concept of creating wealth. They just want to pull from one class and give to the other. Worked so well in communist Soviet Union. Finance and economics are not even touched on in k-12 education, but I’d bet the students can tell you their teachers pronouns. Our education system is broken, hence morons having uneducated opinions on the wealthy and taxation. It’s sadly both disgraceful and discouraging.
