Just one of the many fascinating cases I got to work on as an @aagl @FMIGS1 fellow at @uOttawa! Thank you to @AJOG_thegray for allowing us to share!

Surgical OB is an extension of what we have learned as @FMIGS1 surgeons. As a result we get to work on complex issues and share interesting cases like this one. @CanSAGE @AllyMurji @AAGL Placenta previa and bladder varicosities—a clinical conundrum sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

This is medical paternalism at its finest. Pregnant healthcare providers deserve the right choose whether they want to get vaccinated. If @UnityHealthTO is denying them the option to get vaccinated, that needs to change immediately.
Justin Morgenstern@First10EM

Why is @UnityHealthTO denying the vaccine to pregnant healthcare workers?? The risk from COVID is probably higher than the risk from the vaccine You are going to force pregnant nurses to work in the ICU without the protection of a vaccine? Let them choose! @BogochIsaac

Yesterday when I picked up lunch, I also got a bagel for breakfast this morning. I just unwrapped it and discovered I'm a victim of the infamous STL bread slicing.

I heard WAP on the radio this morning, but they’d changed the words to ‘Wet and Gushy’, which seems like a poor alternative. So here are my suggestions for better radio-friendly words (from a gynecologist):

Maternal arrest: displace uterus left, early O2, IV above diaphragm. Reverse narcotics and consider high spinal block, amniotic embolism, etc. Fundus at or above umbilicus cutoff for resuscitative hysterotomy at 4 minutes (later still beneficial) #CCCF2020 @CCCForum @StephenLap
