The @EUinTheGambia Ambassador and #UNDP Resident Representative were able to see the on-going voter registration process conducted by the @GambiaIec. They visited the Brikama Perseverance and the Gunjur & Tanjeh Community Centres where they observed the coordinated registration process w/t IEC, police, and party agents. Many young people expressed excitement about registering for the first time. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of the EU & UNDP to support inclusive participation, women’s empowerment and strengthening democratic governance in The Gambia through the EU-UNDP GREAT Programme. #SDG16.
