Today I'm preparing for the possibility of receiving a harsher sentence than Alex Dunn - the cop found guilty of assaulting a handcuffed Black woman by slamming her face first into concrete and the whole reason we were outside of courthouse for 14 days in 2021.

Twice in a week I have now been asked to leave protests by police. Today I attended the protest in support of Palestine. I was there for maybe 15/20 mins, standing on the sidewalk, holding a sign, not causing harm to anyone. 3 police officers approached me and told me to leave.

Wallahi — it’s shameful to see our community march with Islamophobes and white supremacists. These are the same people who years ago cheered as Harper brought in the Niqab ban and as Quebec continues to trample the right of Muslims in Quebec.
