I’m with you there are more things then speed then Lemieux but McDavid does not have more pure skill then Lemieux. Mario’s pure skill was superior to even Gretzky. Lemieux played with cancer, came out of retirement and still walked players. You had to not just watch on tv but see him live. Also in the toughest of games Mario still could not be stopped. Every player was made better when Mario played. Same can not be said for McDavid. It’s nothing against McDavid comparing him to the Magnificent Mario, in fact it’s a compliment.
