Critical Mass Chester

Due to the severe weather warnings in place until midnight tomorrow, it has been decided to cancel tomorrow's Chester Critical Mass bike ride.

@Chester_Cycling When you say cycle in the permitted direction on one way sections, what is your understanding of cycling in frodsham street? One direction or both permitted?

Confirmation after consulting the council “you are allowed to cycle in the pedestrianised zones, the restriction is for motorvehicles, so cyclists are exempt.  You still have to cycle in the permitted direction on the one way sections and have to dismount to get over The Cross.”

You could probably save a few quid on repairs by ensuring vehicles remain on the road when parked. Maybe start issuing fines? Prevention is cheaper than repairs!

Chester’s monthly Critical Mass ride today at 2pm starting from the Lodge entrance of Grosvenor Park. We meander round the streets of Chester en masse for about an hour to demonstrate our desire for better and safer cycling streets. Coffee/pub afterwards.
