Woke up to find a fluffed up house Martin on our bath mat....no doubt trying to shelter from the cold and wet. Released it out of the window and it flew off ok!

@Barbus59 @ChestermanDanny I was also thinking hybrid. It has the look about it. Were there other species about Danny?

Early purple orchid with more spots on the leaves than green!!

@LliamRooney @Barbus59 The only other orchids I could see were EPOs but they were a particularly motley collection....some lovely pinks as well as the normal purples. In a woodland glade where they do clay pigeon shooting

Woad flowering on the verge of the road down to dungeness. Although the main clump was originally planted several plants have self seeded into adjacent areas of shingle

@NommeDeTwit Can you see the tiny holes across the middle were the spikes were? Also underneath there’s a hole where the mouthparts were

@ChestermanDanny It just looks like a stone to me, how can you tell it's a fossilised sea urchin?
