You can pass knowledge exams learning online, but skills and professional identity need you to be there. I think we need both.

@mededdoc @CristianaHentea @uiccom @uicdme Seems like a similar issue we have with workplace engagement for remote workers. There's richness that can come from being in-person, but also encumbrances. How we incentivize "engagement", and how we measure it, and any downstream impacts are all a big blackbox.

I was kind of kidding, but thank you! Hmm, interesting results. It's such a hard problem to address, as it seems that almost anything you do will result in unintended consequences. I heard at a meeting yesterday that some schools have decided to NO LONGER record lectures in hopes that that will improve attendance, But that kinda seems like a terrible "solution," doesn't it?! 😙 #MedEd
