Every time l read about the billions being made by private companies from the NHS it reminds me of this: a £1,500 bill for a job that could have been done for about £90. This is still happening. The NHS still has £55+ billion left to pay on £13 billion PFI loans from 1997.

@Steve21688916 Carillion? 1 ward 70 hand-wash refills = £1500. Cost of materials £70+45mins labour. X that by every ward, every hosp, all maintenance, all overcosted private contracts, inc clinical and the NHS are being fleeced. Plus £150m bill to taxpayer for collapse. Capita will be next.

Apparently it was called Operation Peyzac in the mid-2000s, but how did this get signed off as lawful policing?

This woman is an imperialistic mouth for hire. No one is denying that elite Africans didn't sell other Africans. No one is denying that slavery was not a Western invention. China practiced slavery. Korea practiced slavery for 500 years and sold their people to each other. Arabs practiced slavery for 1,300 years. The issue we have is when the atrociousness of the chattel Transatlantic slave trade is scapegoated to the excuse "Africans sold their own people."

Africans were selling fellow Africans as slaves to Arab slave traders for CENTURIES before the first Europeans ever showed up. And when Britain banned the slave trade they got angry that their trade was being thwarted and refused to stop slave trading.
