It is irresponsible journalism to report on an E. Coli outbreak in carrots without describing its actual cause: factory farms. Pathogens that kill humans do not generally grow on plants. They grow in animals, whose massive ecological footprint than contaminates the plants.

I started my physician career in hospital medicine. I quickly realized that although acute care is necessary, my heart is in preventing cardiometabolic diseases & secondary complications. Sadly our healthcare systems don’t value prevention 😔 I want to be apart of the change!

The berry season is here— the time of year when wolves in our area become omnivores! For some wolves and wolf packs, berries will likely be the primary food source for the next 4 or so weeks. Rare footage of this behavior below.
