@VAMichaelaLaws i'd sew silk as a facing layering to something like felt as the backing piece that way the glue will only touch the felt, it's what's often done for things like hair clips!

@LanaRedlichVA if the sound is changing based on your distance from the mic then it sounds like a proximity effect issue. some mics have wild proximity effects where it can sound drastically different depending how far or close you are to it

Kind of devastated that I had to pass up on sending an audition that I actually recorded because of an issue involving audio quality that came from a very specific problem, but I do not know how to fix it but Twitter word counts So I'm posting a screenshot with more explanation
