Beachgoers were sent running as two boisterous sea lions charged down a crowded beach in San Diego.
Footage captured by Dion Ruzicka, and posted to Instagram on July 7, shows the moment the sea lions undertook their very own beach-clearing operation.
Laughs and shouts of “Oh my God” can be heard from spectators to the sea lion stampede.
The spot, La Jolla Cove, has a history of human-sea lion tensions.

@RiddledbyRiddle @Chicago_Goofies Wrong. Ebt is a federal program, meaning it can be used across state lines—anywhere where ebt is accepted
English

@Chicago_Goofies No they didn’t.
You can’t use an Indiana EBT card for Illinois

@ISPLowell2 @CourtneyRCronin @GovBraun The BEARS BofD voted to continue moving forward with the Hammond site. That’s it. Nothing has been signed with the state of IN.
English

@CourtneyRCronin A league source? Cmon. Board voted on it. It’s over. Welcome to Indiana! @GovBraun
English

While I’m being told that the Bears announcement on Hammond is “real”,
i.e. not a leverage play, a league source told me that the Bears leaving the state is not a done deal. Per source, Indiana is in the lead right now, but “Illinois can still get back in the race,” granted the state has a lot of ground to make up after not passing legislation that would have insured the Bears property tax certainty.
English

@GovBraun @xjhoodespn Nothing’s official. Y’all are just a pawn in this game of chess. Notice how they didn’t confirm anything other than to restate what we already knew—that they are keeping Hammond in the running.
English

Hoosiers, help me welcome the Chicago Bears to our great state!
We look forward to building a partnership as strong as the '85 Bears defense, creating opportunities and economic growth that will benefit our state and the Bears organization for decades to come.
An NFL franchise in Northwest Indiana will be an economic boost to the entire region like we haven’t seen before.
Thank you to Speaker Huston, the legislature, and Mayor McDermott for their partnership. I also want to thank the entire Chicago Bears organization for their partnership and commitment in making this move a reality.
Welcome to Indiana!

Statement from Chairman George H. McCaskey and President & CEO Kevin Warren:
English

@clayharbs82 They are not moving. This is simply more political gamesmanship. Notice how this is simply the Bears releasing a statement that their own BofD voted to keep Hammond in the running. That’s it. They are trying to get Illinois legislature to acquiesce to their wants.
English

Wow!
Chicago had every opportunity to figure this out. The state had every opportunity to find a compromise. Instead, we got delays, finger pointing, posturing, and no real solution.
As a lifelong Bears fan and former player, I hate the idea of the Chicago Bears not playing in Chicago. That part stings. The Bears are part of the fabric of this city. But from a business standpoint, it just makes sense.
The NFL is a business. The Bears are a business. And at some point, ownership is going to do what gives the franchise the best chance to build a modern stadium, control revenue, create a year-round entertainment district, and stop waiting on politicians who can’t get out of their own way.
This is not just a Bears decision. This is a Chicago and Illinois failure.
You can criticize the McCaskeys. You can criticize Kevin Warren and the process. But if another city or state is willing to make it easier to build, easier to operate, and easier to grow the value of the franchise, then eventually the business is going to go where it is wanted.
That is the part Chicago politicians didn’t seem to understand.
You don’t keep iconic businesses, franchises, or institutions by assuming they have nowhere else to go.
Eventually, they do. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears

The #Bears are expected to announce today their board of directors have voted and they will be focused on Hammond moving forward as the future site of their stadium, two legislative sources said. @thescorechicago @mullyhaugh

@Srhogan_18 @ChicagoBears @ruthiepolinsky Chicago did; not Arlington. In the grand scheme of things, there is no real news here. It’s still a decision btwn Arlington & Hammond. This is all political gamesmanship to get the Illinois legislature to acquiesce
English

@ChiTownKevo @ChicagoBears @ruthiepolinsky No. Chicago failed to vote to get the legislation regarding the Bears proposal last week.
English

@AdamSchefter Not falling for this manufactured drama 🙄 Pay attention to the wording; all they’re saying here is that the team’s own BoD “formally” voted to keep Indiana floating as a potential site—which continues to be the single pawn in the game atp. Still betting on Arlington but idc 🐻
English

@LynnBecker I think Chicago blue would’ve hit harder but I’m sure this will pop much better than that ugly tan
English

@girodavivere @pistol_eye5 @JimbosJunkbox @AdamSchefter @JayvG18 Correct- developers are dubbing it as the “Bronzeville Lakefront” project which the city has already started digging up the grounds to build new roads/infrastructure to connect to the grid.
English

The Chicago Bears will decide where to build their new stadium in the next few weeks, per league sources.
If Illinois doesn’t pass legislation for Arlington Heights soon, sources believe the Bears are likely to be Indiana bound.
Two proposed sites in Chicago are not considered feasible, per sources; next to Soldier Field for political reasons, and the land known as Michael Reese was evaluated and rejected by the NFL and the Bears.
