Many, including media, either; 1) don’t understand what happened in Parliament yesterday. 2) are happy for a bill containing measures to protect children to fall down. 3) or completely understand and are using abused children to score political points. Nigel Farage has been paid £189,000 for 4 hours work promoting gold bullion. Making his total income £600,000, and appearing to be the highest paid MP since the election. All the while voting to stand on the side of exploitation, zero-hours contracts and fire and rehire, when he voted against the Employment Bill last year.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of John Prescott. John was a true giant of the Labour movement. On behalf of the Labour Party, I send my condolences to Pauline and his family, to the city of Hull, and to all those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
