Yesterday, I texted our gateman to come and collect his Easter rice.
I told him to come with his plate because I had run out of takeaway packs.
He replied, “Don’t worry ma.”
I was a bit surprised because this is something I always do during festive periods. The only difference this time was the plate.
I didn’t think much of it…
Until my neighbour called me later and said the gateman reported me.
He said I disrespected him, how can I ask a married man to bring a plate like a beggar just to collect food?
I’m honestly still in shock.
It was never that deep for me… I was just trying to share what I had.
But I guess sometimes, what feels like kindness to one person… can feel like disrespect to another.
Did I actually do something wrong?

@Oreofe_06 I wouldn’t buy it, not healthy. Those are broken eggs but instead of making a loss I believe the market sellers devised a means to sell it off. So they pack the broken eggs into nylon and sell. Things to consider, where did it break? Where was it packed from? How about particles?

I was in the market yesterday with my roommate to buy fruit and I saw this.
Honestly, if anyone had posted this on the internet, I would not have believed it.
This is egg they broke and put inside nylon for people who cannot afford egg, and the shocking thing is that people are buying it.
They call it “akwa agbara agba.”
I had to buy one to make this post. It’s about 5 eggs inside and it’s ₦500.
I don’t know what to say, mehn.

There was a robbery incident that happened to my neighbour some time ago.
The robbers hit their door, threatening to break it down if they didn’t open up, so the dad had no choice but to open it. Four rugged, armed men walked in and immediately ordered everyone out of the room to lie face down on the floor if they didn’t want to die.
They all obeyed, including the little kids. But after a while, the children started arguing over space, saying “that’s my spot, I got there before you.” One of the robbers, who seemed like the boss, stayed back to guard them while the others searched the house. He got angry and shouted at the kids to lie down and close their eyes.
A few minutes later, one of the little girls whispered to her brother to close his eyes or she would report him. Next thing, she stood up, walked up to the armed robber, tugged his trousers, and said, “Uncle armed robber, Junior is not closing his eyes.”
Immediately, the other robbers both inside and outside burst into laughter. The one guarding them just stood there, shook his head, and then walked out. In a teary voice, he told the others to leave everything and go. They left the house without taking anything.

I witnessed real love yesterday.
I got to a keke junction and saw a crowd. Out of curiosity, I moved closer.
A grown man was on the floor… crying, wailing, holding his wife’s legs.
People thought something bad had happened.
Then we found out why.
It was his birthday… and his wife had just paid off the remaining ₦900,000 balance on his keke.
She just collected her contribution, arranged with the keke owner, and cleared everything.
The owner came to the park and handed over the documents right there.
The man couldn’t hold himself, he broke down completely.
Other keke riders started spraying the woman money.
