@imakun122 Make this argument when you successfully write a book in Igbo, Ijaw, Fulani or any other that you have never spoken in your life. Ajayi Crowther was just a greedy egoistic scammer who took advantage of his oversight position to neglect the actual writers of the Igbo Bible

This is a statue of a Yorùbá man, Àjàyí Crowther in the heart of Ibo land (Onitsha). Do not be confused that a Yorùbá man wrote the first book in the Ibo language in 1857, but the current generation of Ibo youths have rewritten history that claiming Àjàyí Crowther did not write the first book in Ibo because it's somehow shameful to admit a Yorùbá man taught them how to read and write. They attribute the work to Simon Jona, an Ibo linguist, they are saying that he's the one that wrote Isioma, yet they have not erected a statue of Simon Jona in Ibo land. Somebody shout "POWER" 💪💪.

INEC wanted you to be youth ambassador and you declined because you feared mobs will attack you. What do you think that role would have enabled you do? So you didn't think the role would have provided you a bigger platform to do more on voter education with a better understanding of what inec is doing and you'd then be able to explain it to the zombies praising you in the comment section WHICH will them be better educated. Uwa ntoor
Governor Amuneke@KevinblakC

With gratitude and deep reflection, I made the difficult decision to decline the appointment as Youth Ambassador. This is not out of disrespect - it can be a matter of purpose, timing and conviction.

@weezyyoung1970 @SheIsBukki Common sense is not common afterall. Imagine asking an igbo man to read a foreigner's book to learn how to pronounce his own name. Whereas, Igboland has 1,000+ year old towns/villages, family clans, deities, artefacts, and even fruits that are named after the word Igbo.

@yorubachic Aunty go and sit down. Culture is not exclusive. Anybody can learn culture from anywhere. You learn about your yoruba culture from the white man's books and schools. Your only grieviance is that the guy is Igbo. You wouldn't have reacted if he was fulani. But Igbo no send you.

We told you so. The political nomad is on the move again. Ignore all those puerile reasons he gave in these illogical musings, a self-serving letter to his mob. Peter Obi is a politician made of jelly, an opportunistic fellow. He can't fight Atiku or Amaechi for the ticket of ADC. He pursues the easy road, that will only lead him to doom, like in 2023. He always blames the government without doing a soul-searching of himself. Welcome, Peter to the 2027 race.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@coreigboman @Hey_Onyinye But which argument did you end? Every Anambra person knows that Nri is not its first civilization. The contention is Ancestry (which is what should logically bestow the Isi Igbo title). How many towns in Igboland trace their roots to Anambra vs Imo ancestral towns

@Chibo_010 @Hey_Onyinye These are igbi civilizations and settlements that existed thousands of years before nri. Now I have ended this argument can you all now rest? Nri is just more organized and popular that is all. Igbos have had settlements and civilization long before nri came from wherever

Xenophobia is a term most African countries use to bully South Africans. South Africans are expected to accommodate criminals from all over Africa and not say anything to avoid being called names. South Africans are called lazy and cowards when they defend their country, yet we all fled our countries due to poor governance. We quickly spread rumors about South Africans having HIV, yet we rush to date their women. South Africa was clean under apartheid, but it's starting to look like the countries we came from. We are the common denominator in destroying infrastructure. We're jealous of this country; we're jealous that they still care about their country. No one is xenophobic, and no one hates fellow Africans. Let's stop with the nonsense of saying we gave money to South Africa. You gave money to the ANC and the Mandela family. Let's go fight our governments and learn from South Africans.
