I am really excited to join a great club and a top manager to fight for. Really grateful for the opportunity and I will give it all. Keep growing and learning with enthusiasm, hard work and perseverance.

It did not go the way I wanted and I am sorry for that. I did everything I could and unfortunately my best was not enough. I am really grateful to John Coates and John Walters for giving me this opportunity. I am sending a BIG thank you to the players who have given me lot of respect, affection and enthusiasm. Defeats hurt and late goals are hard to take, but we will find our way back. We are all disappointed with recent results and are reflecting, as individuals and as a team, on how we can improve. I have been pleased with the effort and attitude of the team, and we are all so humbled and grateful for the great support of our travelling fans. The next few days are about giving you something to cheer at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday. We will work as much as possible to improve and we will soon find ourselves in a good run of results. Potters, I wanted to show you a video we played before today’s game. It shows what we are working towards, how everyone is connected, how everyone is putting the team before themselves and how happy we are to be part of Stoke City. Tonight, we are disappointed because we could have won, but there are positives to take from it. Thank you for your support! 🔴⚪️

Tonight we played with energy, passion and soul. This early in the process, that is the most important thing I can ask. Travelling Potters, we appreciate you more than you know! 🔴⚪️

It would have been great to get through to the quarter-final, but I think we can all be inspired by the effort, personality and character we showed tonight. Together we are stronger. Big effort from the team today. A hard earned point and it is a good sign that we are all disappointed not to have taken all three. Lots of things to improve but, with the kind of commitment we are getting from the players and staff, we will do it. Our focus moves immediately to Tuesday, to make sure we compete properly again. Today, my time at a wonderful club has come to an end. A club full of good, hard working and kind people. It has been a pleasure to share this time and I am grateful for having been here, for having met so many good people and also for having experienced another playoff.
