@Visionary_VVM What society would racist white ppl prefer?..one where we promote segregation, have racially divided “safe places”, racially divided events, or one where we treat and judge each person individually by their character. I can tell you for certain what the KKK would prefer.

@ChicityQuark @SandrineK92 You are targeting, reframing it to make it feel more offensive again. She didn't organize a meeting and said "No X allowed". If white basketball players met and posted pictures celebrating white basketball players I would even like the post. Nothing uncomfortable here.

How fragile your ego must be as a white person, to be offended by this dinner.
The Tennis Letter@TheTennisLetter

Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players: “You know I'm seeing a little bit of- ‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race + ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them. Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’ I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks. Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤” (via Naomi on Threads)

@Carolinas_942 Where are you deliberately excluded? And if you find such a place, it is being celebrated as such?…I highly doubt it.

@bangstayce Whose y’all? Like Monfils wife is literally white. A lot of conservative blacks would disagree with you. Are Asians part of “Y’all”. When you live in this hypersensitivity racial world, there is no nuisance.

@BomayeBrotha If you show me an example of white people purposley excluding black ppl, most ppl would agree it’s racist…but if the exact same situation is occurring but in reverse, it’s all of a sudden ok…doesn’t even make sense. Either it’s all wrong or it’s never ok.

The words "if a white person did it" should never leave anyone's mouth ever again because there's always an historical example of it. De jure segregation still exists in 2026.
Jon Root@JonnyRoot_

Half black/half Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka held a dinner party exclusively for black tennis players before the French Open She defended the party by claiming there have been segregated white-only parties (Without proof, of course) This woman is insufferable.

@Anothasapiens @SandrineK92 The uncomfortable truth you won’t admit, is that if this is ok with you, then you have to accept when white players have meetings that say no blacks allowed, or Asians have gatherings that say no blacks allowed. Is that the world you want to live in? Why would you promote that

@ChicityQuark @SandrineK92 You are making up a scenario so you can be offended about it. If Svitolina wanted to come, Monfils or Osaka would have told her they want to set a dinner between black players to talk about their common experience. She would understand, nothing wrong with that.

@Anothasapiens @SandrineK92 I noticed you didn’t answer the question. So you would be ok if he told his wife “Sorry Honey, bc your skin color is wrong, you’re excluded? You’re ok with that just say so. But you also have to be ok when other race do the same to you.

@KingDavid23 We decided as a society that segregation is racist and bad…but now you want to bring it back and celebrate it. Is that where you want society to go? Maybe Asians should have dinners that day No black ppl allowed? Should Hispanics have dinners that say no white ppl? Really?

@Not_UR_Usual I love these inuendos of ppl who don’t want black players, but never provide any proof of who these ppl are. Is the Filipino player? The Spanish players? The Russians?….lol. Just making up stuff bc you feel it so doesn’t make it true

Imagine creating a safe space for your peers b/c the sport you play is dominated by racist bigots. And they’re mad b/c they weren’t invited to your dinner. Yet they make it a point to make you feel like you shouldn’t be there at every point. Make it make sense

@miahxhaim When white ppl did that inclusionary nonsense we called them racists, changed laws, and forced desegregation. Why are we celebrating it now just bc it’s happening the other way. It’s wrong no matter who is doing it.

Why do y'all say imagine as if this shit didn't already happen to us? LMFAO take that shit to the chin like we had to
Jon Root@JonnyRoot_

Imagine if the #1 women’s tennis player, Aryna Sabalenka, held a segregated dinner party for only white players with John McEnroe in attendance. She would be forced to apologize, Tennis Channel & ESPN would make statements/condemn it, & McEnroe would be suspended or fired. So why is a segregated blacks-only dinner party hosted by Naomi Osaka, with Chris Eubanks in attendance ok? You can’t have it both ways... PS: There has never been a whites-only party hosted by a white player in professional tennis as Osaka claims. She’ll never be able to provide proof.

I suspect UF DEI policy would change quickly if all the Black football and basketball players transferred to another school. It wasn't until 1958 Black people could even attend the University of Florida & it wasn't until 1970, UF had its 1st black football player.
FLORIDA@UF

.@EDSecMcMahon is correct. DEI is discriminatory by design, antithetical to the purpose of a university, and incompatible with the pursuit of truth. The University of Florida has already acted on that conviction. In December 2025, our Board of Trustees adopted institutional neutrality and embedded an anti-DEI mandate within the presidential contract itself, ensuring that no university funds, public or private, will underwrite DEI at this institution. Dr. Stuart Bell stands with Secretary McMahon, the Board, and the people of Florida on this. He is ready to lead UF forward as a university defined by merit, rigor, and the pursuit of truth.

@BSO Let me reexplain it to you. For years the 95 excluded the 5 and we called them racist, changed laws, and forced them to not be exclusionary. After all that work, now the 5 ppl want to do the same thing we hated.

Let me explain this in simpler terms. 100 people in a room. 95 of them are blue. 5 are red. For years the 95 all hung together, but then one day the 5 decided to have dinner together and the 95 are like "that's racist" .. That's how you sound

@BSO @Fiatbling I have some shocking news for you, most of us other races don’t care what the other races are doing. Stop thinking the rest of the world is obsessed with you. Trust me, we don’t care. The obsession with race is embarrassingly one sided. Most of us don’t care

@Fiatbling I have told people this for years. Black people don't want anything from anybody besides just being treated fairly and left alone. If the country could do that we would all be cool, but they always just f*cking with us and actively trying to keep us down

@BSO Nobody cares if black people gather together. The issue is that the gathering is purposely to exclude other races. Monfils wife for example is white…imagine he had to tell her she can’t come or his kids can’t come bc their complexion isn’t dark enough.
