BREAKING: Earlier today, NORAD intercepted an aircraft that was near the Palm Beach,FL area where President Trump is spending the weekend. "During the intercept, NORAD aircraft dispensed flares, which may have been visible to the public." The aircraft was quickly escorted out of the area. Secret Service tells FOX News there was no threat to Trump or his plane (which is parked at PBI)

Went and saw Hail Mary. Did I think it was good? Yes. Did it blow me away, make me cry and want to throw all the awards at it? No. Glad to see Hollywood put out a three hour long movie that brings the audience into plenty of highs and lows in an ultimate story of the virtue of sacrificial love without force-feeding sex, profanity and a nihilist agenda. And so for that, it was a win.

Making a movie is so tangible and physical. Your feet hurt. Your hair gets too long. Your jeans develop character (holes). For months you are together as a crew (what a crew!) until you become a unit. Releasing a movie on the other hand is completely abstract. You get an email saying how it’s doing. The one thing that makes it feel real are the stories people like you share about it. A film in fact never exists by itself. It is shot out at the speed of light and sound 24 times a second and instantly disappears. It only exists in the minds and hearts of people who see and hear it and think and talk about it. So what we feel today is just immense gratitude to so many people, for seeing it early, for staying up late, for sitting in the front row all the way to the left, for reading the book, for going in blind, for bringing a friend, for your precious and generous undivided attention, for the posts and the drawings and edits and animations and costumes and homemade figurines fer crackin’ ice. You have brought the movie to life with your big beautiful empathetic human brains. You are part of the movie now. So if you are one of the 1000+ artists who worked on it or one of the folks around the world who came out and watched it… Thank. Thank. Thank. ❤️ Chris and Phil ( v - the day we wrapped - v)

Because Senate Democrats didn’t end up accepting the Republican offer on DHS funding & negotiations fell apart yesterday, Dems will get *zero* of the ICE reforms they had been demanding, including ones that GOP had already agreed to, like showing ID, increased Congressional oversight, agreements to not hit sensitive locations, etc. These reforms were the reason Dems started the shutdown in the first place, and now instead of getting a few concessions on their demand list, they get none. The only thing they secured was no funding for CBP & ICE, which are largely already funded via the OBBB, and Republicans will seek to fund them even further without Dem votes in reconciliation instead. As for the Dem’s demand list on ICE reforms? “That ship has sailed,” Sen. Majority Leader John Thune said this morning. “They kissed that opportunity goodbye by failing to provide funding for those agencies.”

If we we go into this weekend with TSA unfunded, it won’t surprise me if all TSA agents stop working, shutting down US airports entirely, This is madness. It’s brutal to TSA and their families and it’s punishing to the travelling public. Congress must reach an agreement, before it’s too late.
