Why do people project? psychologytoday.com/ca/basics/proj… "People tend to project because they have a trait or desire that is too difficult to acknowledge. Rather than confronting it, they cast it away and onto someone else. This functions to preserve their self-esteem, making difficult emotions more tolerable. It’s easier to attack or witness wrongdoing in another person than confront that possibility in one's own behavior. How a person acts toward the target of projection might reflect how they really feel about themselves." I hope everything and everyone is ok over at the SJ.

Theft hurts our local business and our community. Despite the consistently contrary, unlabelled-as-opinion, "copaganda" laced musings from some local blog sites, @SarniaPolice believe offenders who steal someone else's property need to be held accountable. Of course each case is different and our officers do take into consideration any individual circumstances.  If someone needs access to support and resources, they are available without needing to resort to crime and the victimization of others. sarniapolice.ca/news/1032/sarn…

Members of the #LambtonOPP hit the ice today alongside Sarnia Police Service, taking on Lambton College Criminal Justice students in a Charity Hockey Game. Police came away with a 3–2 win… but we’ll admit, the students had us skating a little harder than expected. Proceeds from the game will support the Sarnia-Lambton Bluewater Children’s Foundation, helping provide opportunities for local youth and families. Off the ice, members connected with the community through a recruiting display, chatting with families and those interested in a career in policing. Thanks to everyone who came out to support and to the students for keeping us on our toes. #communitypartnerships @LambtonCollege ^jr

On March 18, 2026, the Sarnia Police Service, alongside the Ontario Provincial Police, played an exciting hockey game against the Lambton College Criminal Justice students' team. It was a hard battle on the ice; however, after three periods, the police took the win with a score of 3 to 2. A huge thank you goes out to Lambton College for organizing and hosting this incredible event. None of this would have been possible without your support. All donations for this event will go to Sarnia Lambton Bluewater Children’s Foundation to support kids’ camps. Thank you to the community for attending, and the Sarnia Police Service looks forward to taking part in this event next year.

Behind many crimes are the victims of those crimes. Be it violence or property offences, the Sarnia Police will continue to hold offenders accountable when they choose to victimize members of our community through criminal acts. We also recognize the importance of preventing crime, which includes managing recidivist offenders and the importance of enforcing court-imposed conditions. Charges are laid when reasonable and probable grounds exist to believe that an offender has chosen to commit a criminal offence. When the offender can’t be located or is actively attempting to evade police, a warrant can be issued for their arrest. Wanted Wednesday is one way that the SPS keeps our community informed and involved. Public assistance in helping us get known offenders off the streets helps build a safer city for our future. Today, officers had the opportunity to meet with students in the dual-credit Canadian Diversity and Strategies in Policing class from Lambton College. The students had a tour of the police facility and were able to ask questions during their visit. We value our ongoing partnership with Lambton College and appreciate the opportunity to share about policing with young people.

@t70121539 Perhaps the rest of us have been budgeting wrong all along? Infinite and not real... what could go wrong?

@ChiefDavisSPS I'm gonna have to says it's because he want to run for Mayor. This is Sarnia, they say inflammatory remarks, then run for office, then do nothing but cost taxpayers for not shutting up. Like I said, this is the reasons that our city can't budget well.
