Keeping the tradition alive! The Fire Executive Team was happy to prepare lunch today for the crew of Company 9, A platoon. This crew donated the most money to our Christmas Box House charity drive this past December. Thanks 9’s for your generosity!

I want to express my gratitude today not only to those members of the SLCFD who have served, but to all Veterans who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Your courage and sacrifice for our freedom and safety are recognized and appreciated. Thank you all for your service.

Today at 08:46 will mark the 22nd anniversary of the first plane impacting the WTC on 9/11. Join me in taking a moment to remember all the brave firefighters, police and civilians who gave their lives during and since this tragic day. We will never forget.🙏💔

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of recognizing @slcfire Battalion Chief Karl Steadman. BC Steadman’s incident command skills are some of the best. It was great to honor his contributions to last fall’s 5-alarm Sugar House fire. Thanks Karl for all you do for us!

It’s a bittersweet day for @slcfire as we bid farewell to Capt Joe Bush, retiring after 31 years of service. “No matter our differences, we’re all a family!” Capt Bush said today and I couldn’t have said it better myself. Congratulations and thank you for your service.
