This Mother's Day, we recognize the sworn and civilian mothers across our service who embody resilience, dedication, and compassion - both at work and at home. Serving on the frontlines and behind the scenes, their leadership leaves an impact that goes far beyond the badge, strengthening our service and our community every day.

On Police Day, we open our doors to the public to connect, learn, and reinforce our shared purpose. Policing at its best is not something that happens to a community – it happens with a community. We cannot protect and serve without your help, your voices, and your trust.

In complete disregard for the law, some of the accused were out on forms of release at the time of their arrest. This investigation helps to restore a sense of safety, sending a clear message: the HRPS is relentless in pursuing those responsible and bringing them to justice.

Today, we laid to rest #OPP Sergeant Brandon Malcolm, a distinguished young leader, and a loved and respected member of the Ontario Provincial Police. Sergeant Malcolm served as an inspiration to others with his passion and positivity, and spent his entire policing career selflessly protecting Northumberland County. I am beyond grateful for the outpouring of support from communities and partners as we honour the life and sacrifice of our esteemed colleague. Sergeant Malcolm, may you rest in peace.

We recently celebrated our second annual Youth Impact Awards, organized by our Youth Advisory Council, where officers and youth from across the region were recognized for their influential leadership and remarkable contributions to our #Halton community. 🏆 Members from the Youth Advisory Council did a great job in reviewing nominees, selecting recipients, and showing overall support for winners. Congratulations to all of our winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who submitted nominations! ✨

*⃣*⃣UPDATE*⃣*⃣ Our officers have completed thorough searches of the affected schools. No credible evidence was located to suggest a threat to the safety of faculty, students or the public. All schools have resumed normal operations, however the investigation onto the threat remains ongoing. Media release to follow.

Good morning Halton! Officers from across the Service are in Toronto this morning for the Ont Police Memorial. 5 HRPS Motor Officers are part of a 100-strong provincial motor team on site to pay respect to those gone before us. ^rs #heroes_in_life

Members from our Service marched beside thousands of officers at the 2026 Ontario Police Memorial Ceremony of Remembrance at Queen’s Park in Toronto. Every day, we continue to honour fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and we will continue to proudly serve in their memory. #HeroesInLife
