@RealMNchiefsfan I keep receipts, so I went back to 2017 to see what all the "experts " said after our Chiefs took Patrick...what,an effing joke! I'm convinced now, more than ever, that the talking heads just do multiple mock drafts, with more outrageous picks, just for clicks....

KC has their LT, LG, C, and RG locked in through 2027 barring injury.
I read a mock draft by someone I really respect who said the Chiefs taking the 3rd OT (2 went top 8) would be "a huge first step toward stabilizing Kansas City’s offensive line."

The Cowboys / Chiefs clean swap is not a cop out in my mock.
Cowboys want one of the blue chip defenders. They get one at 9; could miss out at 12.
Chiefs want 2 starters. 12 / 20 gets them that. Draft "falls off a cliff" a bit after top 20 when it comes to 1st round talent.

Schrager has the Chiefs doing the 9&29 for 12&20 swap with the Cowboys in his final mock. Rueben Bain and Omar Cooper. I’d have a hard time being upset with that haul. Schrager is usually the most accurate mock each year.

The Chiefs have the highest paid Center in the league, one of the highest paid Guards in the league, they just spend a 1st round pick on their LT, an early 2nd round pick on their other guard and paid their current RT over $20 million.
Mahomes has plenty of protection.
