You begin to feel the absence of people who once filled your world, and you realize that time didn’t just pass, it took things with it. It is also the age where regrets become clearer than dreams. The chances you didn’t take, the love you didn’t express, the time you wasted trying to be everything except yourself, these things don’t shout, they sit quietly in your chest. And yet, there is a strange kind of wisdom that comes with it, a deep understanding that life was never about how fast you moved, but how well you lived. At 67, the truth is no longer negotiable, it simply stands in front of you, asking one question: Did you truly live, or did you just pass through time?
