@tomdoyo @BachTalk1 @MLBONFOX I might’ve made things too complicated. I think a glove centered coordinate can solve it regardless of system. Basically I just want to know where would ball goes. Not just dist but also direction to have better understanding of missing patterns

When the Driveline virus is removed…..the HLP snap appears. The video is undeniable. Head stays back as he moves forward. Launch is rearward BEHIND the rear leg. Weight shift as he swings not before. Driveline instruction automatically adds length to swings. They should shut down their hitting instruction immediately.

In a throw, increasing layback (max shoulder ER) leads to lower peak varus torque, but more total stress on both the UCL and forearm The forearm counters valgus load to stabilize the medial elbow over a longer duration. More strain limits how much they can stabilize

Key takeaway: This doesn't mean closed torso = bad elbow flexion. But IF elbow flexion is problematic, it MIGHT be compensation for torso position. Just another lens to consider when evaluating arm actions.

@BachTalk1 @drivelinekyle I think next question is what predicts energy transfer. In same data set, weight predicts ~40% and that’s all I know. Interestingly, adding torso rot velo doesn’t provide a meaningful gain in explanatory power.

@ChienLiHo1 Slight confusion here I think. Energy transfer is based on work. Work over time is power. The sum of power is energy transfer. However, your idea of simply thinking about angular velocity is spot on here. Good thinking. Gravitational PE uses mass.

The highest r^2 was a pitcher whose pelvis-torso relationship at peak knee height explained 72.9% (r^2 = 0.729) of variance in miss distance; another pitcher’s rear ankle at foot plant explained 68.6%. Across all 1,360 data points, the mean r^2 value was 0.072 - a 2,319% increase
