Children Reachout Ug
@ChildrenUg
our journey began with a shared vision of creating positive change in the world. Grounded in the values of compassion, integrity, and inclusivity.

Peer pressure is another sensitive topic that young people need to understand well and we just had an honest and eye opening conversation about it from our mentor @DKamwine. Peer pressure is something almost everyone has experienced, whether positive or not, whether we admit it or not. The key lesson from this session was that peer pressure forces you to do is doing something you don’t truly want to do just because others are doing it. Through real life stories, we explored how young people often give in to fit in, gain acceptance, look “cool” or avoid rejection. We learned that peer pressure can be positive or negative. Positive peer pressure can encourage kindness, cleanliness, confidence and good behavior while negative peer pressure can lead to risky choices like alcohol, smoking, betting, dodging classes or breaking school rules. The session reminded us that giving in can have serious consequences, even when it feels harmless at the moment. The takeaway was clear: think before you act, choose friends wisely and have the courage to say no. Real strength is in making choices that protect your future. #TeensWithMentors
