When we choose compassion, inclusion, and action, we build a world where every child belongs. Today I had an opportunity to check on some of our special children, Education for every child. #WeFightForEveryChild @children

What if going to school was the hardest journey of your life? For many children with special needs, education is not just about books. It is about overcoming barriers every single day. Some children cannot walk to school. #Children #schools #education #fyp

Today is not only a celebration, but also a reminder of our responsibility. A society that values women must also protect their dignity, expand their opportunities, and listen to their voices. When women rise, families grow stronger, communities become more compassionate,

We had a reflective session on respect for elders that was facilitated by Edwin of @ChildrenUg. This session helped our participants to understand that respect is shown through how we treat others in our words, actions and attitudes. He described respect as being in good terms with people, listening and obeying guidance especially from parents and elders. The most exciting thing is that Biblical teachings grounded the session with reflections from Ephesians 6:1–3 reminding us to obey our parents so it may go well with us and Leviticus 19:32 calling us to respect elders so we can live longer. We discussed everyday practices like speaking calmly and politely, listening when others speak, praying first and helping with chores. The session also highlighted why respect matters: it opens doors, builds character, improves your personal brand, attracts opportunities and brings God’s blessings. The key takeaway from this session was that respect shapes relationships, strengthens values and lays a strong foundation for a purposeful and successful life. #TeensWithMentors

Peer pressure is another sensitive topic that young people need to understand well and we just had an honest and eye opening conversation about it from our mentor @DKamwine. Peer pressure is something almost everyone has experienced, whether positive or not, whether we admit it or not. The key lesson from this session was that peer pressure forces you to do is doing something you don’t truly want to do just because others are doing it. Through real life stories, we explored how young people often give in to fit in, gain acceptance, look “cool” or avoid rejection. We learned that peer pressure can be positive or negative. Positive peer pressure can encourage kindness, cleanliness, confidence and good behavior while negative peer pressure can lead to risky choices like alcohol, smoking, betting, dodging classes or breaking school rules. The session reminded us that giving in can have serious consequences, even when it feels harmless at the moment. The takeaway was clear: think before you act, choose friends wisely and have the courage to say no. Real strength is in making choices that protect your future. #TeensWithMentors

We recently joined @ChildrenUg for a fundraising dinner, an evening that was filled with inspiration and hope. We listened to powerful stories from children whose education and health are fully supported by the organization and for us this was a true testament of resilience and change. Their voices reminded us why collective action matters: every child deserves access to education, healthcare and a future of possibilities. We are proud to stand with Children’s Reach Out Uganda in making this vision a reality. Visit our website for the full story and highlights from the dinner on raisingteenagers.org/a-story-of-hop…

Yesterday evening, we were honored to join @ChildrenUg for their fundraising dinner, a night that was filled with inspiration, gratitude and renewed commitment to children’s wellbeing. Hearing the children themselves share stories of transformation was deeply moving. These are not just stories, but powerful testaments of resilience and hope. Through the dedication of this organization, children who once faced barriers of poverty and vulnerability now access education, health services and the chance to dream again. Their testimonies reminded us why collective action matters because every child deserves dignity, opportunity and a future free from limitations. The dinner was not only about raising funds, but also about raising hope, building partnerships and celebrating the lives already being changed. Together, we can amplify this impact and ensure that no child is left behind. We extend our gratitude to Children Reach Out Uganda for their tireless work and to everyone who contributed to the evening. The journey of change continues and we are proud to stand alongside you.
