I gave Claude Code admin access to my AWS & Cloudflare accounts today, why didn't I do this sooner? I never want to see AWS dashboard again.

@joemills27 @danbarker @PolitlcsUK @bernarddonoghue I asked because in another tweet you called it a "concrete jungle" when a simple look on Google Maps disproves that. So I guess there's a pattern where you look at something and completely misread it, like you did with Dan's tweet.

@ImLunaHey @llwtydeer @skylermzx Rent control sounds great but has second-order consequences that can easily cause it to backfire. Personally, I don't trust that the civil service are up to the task of preventing them

supporting a rent cap is a signifier that you are deeply stupid and should not be trusted with running the economy

@honeydewdrop444 @AlbzSFC It's Trainline's ticket splitting feature, which is when you split your journey into multiple cheaper tickets instead of one long expensive one.

@airkatakana IIRC the loophole existed in the vague wording in the obscenity laws that were meant to be very broad to cover as many scenarios as possible but ended up being very hard to convict.

@airkatakana I remember reading about when they fixed the cp loophole in 1999 and I stunned that they knew about it for so long but only caved because of US-led pressure, but then had to be pressured for years to ban possession as well. What the fuck, Japanese government?

keep in mind that in 1996 japan: 1) smartphones did not exist 2) age of consent was 13 3) cp was legal to own, create, distribute, and sell very different landscape to today but i’m not sure the compensated dating rates have changed much, might have even increased due to 1)

I went too deep in software and forget where the boundaries between it and DevOps are. What do I even practice these days?

@Kemal_RKM @bunburyoudoujp They're South African. SA culture is generally low-context and favours more direct and honest communication. So something like honne/tatemae might easily come across as rude, two-faced or even manipulative, and an indication that that person is an untrustworthy asshole.

“Very good people, very polite BUT they are TWO faced people.” If you feel like Japanese people are tolerating you but you get the feeling they might not like you there’s probably a reason for that. A personal reason. You seem kind of hateful towards the Japansse anyway. 🤷‍♂️
Meiad 🇿🇦🇦🇺@meiad_ela

@bunburyoudoujp Also, to say something about Japanese people... Not coming from why China has animosity, but from my own experience with Japanese people. Very good people, very polite BUT they are TWO faced people. There's even a term they call that in Japanese, I just forget the name.
