Besides, semen doesn't directly cause it ma'am. It's typically indirect. How can something that indirectly cause a condition, be the major player? Underlying infections are the major players.

Any woman that is not performing extremely hygienic practices like douching or using antibacterial soaps and not using antibiotics wouldn’t get it if she’s not having sex with a male, and most women who have it fall into this group.

@Chima_Candid Funnily enough it’s extreme ‘good’ hygienic practices like antibacterial soap and douching that can cause that fishy smell. Bad hygiene doesn’t.
Also, I already said using antibiotics can cause it, I didn’t say taking it too much. Even taking the recommended dose can cause it.

@Chima_Candid A virgin can develop bacterial vaginosis if she’s abusing antibiotics. Nigerians take unprescribed antibiotics for diarrhoea a lot! Flagyl and tetracycline can cause bacterial vaginosis because they killed the good bacteria which fights any dirt that comes in contact with vagina
