A player I have been very critical of lately who I thought quietly did a much better job yesterday was Kanu (-the crap pen😅) Plenty of unselfish running to give options & space for the midfield, helping us play more football. Elvis was also good though. Who d'you start Tuesday?

A lot of our squad need a long hard look at themselves after today too btw. For all Sadler's shortcomings he can't control every aspect of the game. Too many players have let their personal levels slip again this year... Hoping this is a wake up call to them as well.

Almost 3 years under Mat Sadler. A pleasure to deal with from the outset, even during the tough times. One of football’s good guys! Attached my glorious night in Venice after the Chesterfield first leg - an all-time memory.

Feel for Mat Sadler. He should’ve been put out of his misery last May. You could argue he has been a victim of two good runs in two separate seasons, which the inability to recreate later in the season has been his downfall. My take - I reckon he’ll be in L1 before Walsall are.

@RobJNumber13 The reason I say it is that I and most other people knew that when the tide turned, whether that was after 1 game or 25, he would be beaten over the head with last seasons failures/people would draw comparisons. Everyone needed a clean break.

@ChineseWS3 Not sure I quite agree re sacking last May. The way we started this season suggested he was still the right man, but serious reflection is needed on what happened Jan-March in both of the last two years. Couldn’t have realistically expected lightning to strike twice

@viphustle Correct. The shit he got about his neck movements etc absolutely vile and very WFC. Hopefully he does well in the future. He won’t be remembered with much fondness because of how things ended (twice or maybe three times) but I wish him well.

@ChineseWS3 Think a change was needed, really wanted him to succeed he’s a sound bloke, personally I think with a better budget he could have been more successful
