I went ahead created an account with @TheHIVE_Social and the interface looks great! Really feels like instagram and Twitter combined. Hope the social media platform survives if anything happens to Twitter. This might be the move. 👀

@ItsSKhan22 @YoungAngel_ @Ajprellerbrnr @Johnsmithsorta @Jwiesel13 Money alone doesn’t fix the development issue. Soccer has to be played seriously from a young age. In the U.S., a lot of elite athletes are pushed toward football/basketball first, so soccer loses part of that talent pool before those players ever develop.

Christian Pulisic is a prime example of the United States not having its best athletes playing soccer There’s just no way there aren’t guys in the NBA & NFL who wouldn’t be better than him if they would’ve started playing soccer at a young age He’s a wimpy small athlete

@ChipRivera @ItsSKhan22 @Ajprellerbrnr @Johnsmithsorta @Jwiesel13 Soccer requires size, speed, quickness, jumping, body control, and skill work. The rest of the world pretends it’s some special skillset that Americans couldn’t train for. They dont understand that it’s a sport we dont take seriously at all. I wish we did just for shit talking.

@ItsSKhan22 @YoungAngel_ @Ajprellerbrnr @Johnsmithsorta @Jwiesel13 AD is a bad example because his height likely works against him in soccer. I’m not saying every elite athlete translates. I’m talking about guards, WRs, RBs, and DBs. Steph, Kyrie, Tyreek, and AB have the footwork, and coordination that could translate if they grew up playing it.

@ItsSKhan22 @YoungAngel_ @Ajprellerbrnr @Johnsmithsorta @Jwiesel13 That’s an appeal to authority and it still misses my point. Nobody said football players could just switch sports today. The argument is that if elite American athletes grew up playing soccer, some of those traits would translate and raise the overall talent pool.

@YoungAngel_ @Ajprellerbrnr @Johnsmithsorta @Jwiesel13 Idk how this escaped your thought but have you considered that American football is an entirely different sport with different rules and required abilities than soccer? Athleticism matters, but you don’t need to be the hulk to be great at soccer 😭 Example, the Japanese team

@CyberJeezy @BenOndaTop “Repeated” means safety violations, not suspensions. The NFL cited 13 infractions since 2020, and he got 3 games—not 4. Whether the play was dangerous isn’t the point. A red card automatically ejects and suspends; NBA/NFL penalties don’t always do both.

@ChipRivera @BenOndaTop Aziz had never been suspended before. Repeating what? 4 game suspension? And a flagrant 2 is most times not nearly as dangerous as cleats on a turned ankle. There have been plenty of season ending injuries with that exact time of play. It happens all the time.

Bro, imagine if they let this shit fly in the NFL. Like, Will Anderson can’t play in the Texans first ever AFC title game because he coincidentally stepped on a dude’s ankle wrong. Or the NBA? Draymond would have 6 total career playoff minutes due to suspensions.
Yahoo Sports@YahooSports

FIFA confirms there is no mechanism to appeal a World Cup red card, per The Athletic. USMNT's Folarin Balogun will miss the team's Round of 16 match vs. Belgium after being red carded in tonight's win.

@CyberJeezy @BenOndaTop A Flagrant 1 doesn’t get you ejected. A Flagrant 2 does and requires unnecessary and excessive contact. It also doesn’t automatically mean a next-game suspension. Aziz was suspended for repeated safety violations. None of this is comparable to a red card.

@ChipRivera @BenOndaTop You get kicked out of nba games for flagrant fouls. You get kicked out of games and suspended in the nfl for bang bang plays. Al-Shaair got suspended for 4 games bc of a fluke hit on TLaw. 🤣

@CyberJeezy @BenOndaTop Touching SGA & Mahomes doesn’t get you knocked out of the game & suspended the next game for touching them. A foul/flag happens and you move on. Draymond being suspended playoff games is for a culmination of technicals throughout post season games in a season, also not the same.

@BenOndaTop Let an ankle breaking type of play fly? Okay champ. You’re talking about the nba where touching SGA results in free throws. Draymond has been kicked out of plenty of games. Mahomes gets tapped the wrong way and it’s a penalty. wtf you talking about. 🤣

@JaygeeClaps @stfukhi Isn’t this just hindsight? I’m pretty sure consensus going into draft night was: 1. Cade 2/3. Mobley/Green

@spyritwriter @wervvuim @jtanggy @SamQuinnCBS If you get rid of the Max, and had a strict hard cap, then it would be closer to the NFL. I believe this would evenly distribute talent as Elite would command most of the cap, similar to how QBs are now. The only difference is NFL is that the contracts aren’t fully guaranteed.

@wervvuim @jtanggy @SamQuinnCBS Correct me if I'm wrong; but, I think we're comparing apples to oranges to cantaloups. I dont think the MLB franchises actually face a real salary cap, the NFL has so many players on O,D & S/teams that individual salaries are kinda systematically in check & I doubt Hockey is as💰

@joelvmoran Not true. Yes numbers were good but he was nowhere to be found during the biggest games in the series. Hardens problem has never been performing in the playoffs it’s performing in close out/elimination games lol.

Since the Cavaliers won Game 7, James Harden gets his proper credit for all of his positive contributions throughout the series + playoffs but if they lost, the narrative would've been "he didn't show up" and he'd get judged solely off of Game 7 and his performances in Games 3-6 would be ignored that is winning bias for you

@Os91413Jon @BillyReinhardt Honest question, do you think the players would give it their all in these games? No reason for players to risk injury if the game is “meaningless” to them and teams are in better position to draft their replacements.

@BillyReinhardt The idea of all the lottery teams facing off in single elimination rounds in a Lottery Draft style tournament to determine where everyone is selecting gives every lottery team something to fight for 👀 🧐....

Tanking is a result of a lack of parity. Teams have generally come to grips with the reality that being in the middle is the worst place to be as an organization. Bad teams do not believe they have a shot to compete without superstar talent and for many markets, the only way to acquire a superstar is via the draft. Lessening the odds for the truly bad teams to be subsidized with a superstar talent through the draft hurts the parity issue even more.
Esfandiar Baraheni@JustEsBaraheni

Abolishing the draft is probably the way to go, but they’ll never do that. My pitch is to completely flatten out the odds. All lottery teams get the same chance at the #1 pick.

@Smo0thgrandmama @RooshWilliams Three great teams? One great team, one AFC South bully, and a lot of nothing. Citing a ‘tough AFC South’ in 2007–08 while ignoring negative point differential is convenient. DeMeco had a tough schedule this year and still won 10 games, faster than Kubiak.

Three consecutive 10-win seasons for the first time in Texans franchise history. Feel like it’s safe to say DeMeco Ryans is already the best head coach in franchise history. Helluva turnaround under his leadership.

@Smo0thgrandmama @RooshWilliams You’re trolling right? He had one great team with a serious “What if” injury. Kubiak era is full of nostalgia for a guy who lasted 7 years, with his 8th cut short and had a losing record.

@RooshWilliams Division titles don't mean anything to me, Kubiak played against the colts for those. Using just 10 win season's is diminishing how good some of those Kubiak teams were..... And they only played 16 games, not 17.
