ok, so like 3 weeks away so the plan is in like 3 weeks from now we are going to invade Iran with 4000 actual shooters by somehow getting their ships through the straits and land them onto the cliff ridden beaches of Iran, or land on some shitty useless islands where it would be a turkey shoot for Iran, and that is the flex? Until I see 200k Army staged in Iraq at the border, this is all cosplay

Now imagine being dumb enough to try and invade said country. It's strategically really dumb to invade Iran.

Special Forces will penetrate deep into the country to establish drop zones for the 75th. Then the Ranger Regiment will seize airfields and then the 82nd Airborne will secure those key airfields and key terrain in the rear/deep area. Once the airfields are secure, the 101st will airlift their Blackhawks and Chinooks. The MEF will establish a beachhead and assault up, any Iranian military caught in between will be destroyed. Once tanks land, all of the mission critical sites will be secured and controlled. Maneuver and ground victory won’t be the challenge, leaving will be the challenge.

If Biden or Kamala had won, and started a serious war with Iran, and asked Congress for $200 billion in the first 3 weeks, every single MAGA influencer would be calling them warmongers and demanding impeachment. Neocons would be happy, but the MAGA influencers would be enraged.

You should be absolutely furious about this $200 billion ask for the war. I guarantee you if you asked for $200 billion in health care or food for American people, you'd be laughed out of Congress. There's no money for that! But as soon as Israel asks, it'll fly through Congress.

the US military will win the war in iran, but we are seriously in danger of losing the war. right now everyone knows there is no real plan, the civilians are NOT rising up, the government is still in power and if things don't change it will stay that way. Without calling up the national guard and deploying 2-300,000 ground troops to secure a part of Iran, the mines and rockets will still be a threat. Trump has no good choices right now. And I fear he is about to do something stupid. 1. Call it a win and leave. This would leave the government in Iran far stronger, and China will replace all the gear quickly. This would get us kicked out of the Middle East and the rest of the world would see it as a loss. 2. Deploy ground troops to a forever war with no plan on leaving. Iran is larger than Afghanistan and Iraq, combined. the only plan he had was hope going into this, thats not a plan
