A plaque appeared on the wall of our department to remember the work of Sir John Eccles. The first excitatory postsynaptic potential recording was performed in Eccles' laboratory at University of Otago, Dunedin in 1951 and an example was gifted to me by Prof Phil Sheard in 2014.
