@happy_hater85 @DumbRussianBot @GloOouD Russians declared ceasefire. If Russians kept their word no one have to be dead. Ukrainians are not dumb. They can't afford to be naive. If Russian do not play by the rules why Ukrainians should do?

@DumbRussianBot @GloOouD I am just stating what international humanitarian law says. If the Russians would have killed the POWs while thinking that they are Ukrainians, it would obviously not be a war crime of the Russians. It would still be a Ukrainian war crime, had they sent the POWs as ‘bait’.

⚡️The 🇺🇦Ukrainian 24th Mechanised Brigade dressed captured 🇷🇺Russian soldiers in neutral uniforms to check whether the Russian Armed Forces were observing the Easter ceasefire and whether it was safe to evacuate the wounded. As a result, three Russian soldiers were killed by their own FPV drone operators. I am sure that the phrase spoken by the Ukrainian commander before sending them off was approximately: "We are letting you go, Putin has declared a ceasefire, everything will be fine." RIP to: ☠️ Sergeant Stanislav Alekseevich Zhuravlev; ☠️ Private Alexander Alekseevich Choshev; ☠️ Corporal Andrey Vyacheslavovich Zagrebin

@Eric78915 @UkrReview @Maks_NAFO_FELLA The problem is you never say it straight you are going to invade someone. You'd lose moment of surprise. So what matters are hints. And there were plenty of hints from Trump on this matter.

@UkrReview @Maks_NAFO_FELLA I am no fan of Trump but in fairness I don't think he ever said he would invade Canada. He wanted to economically pressure it to join the U.S. which is also not ok but he never threatened a military attack on Canada.

🇺🇸🇨🇦 Trump has said he will not invade Canada, backing away from earlier talk of making it the “51st state.” “They’ve got 200 years of history and all that ‘Oh, Canada’ thing… you can’t deal with that in three and a half years. I guess it’s not going to happen,” he said. "Do they still recognise the King? Or have they stopped that?," Trump added.

@EvolutiaR That's too optimistic about Euro companies benefiting from the USA leaving NATO. They don't offer anything competitive (in terms of capabilities and affordability) against the F-35, Patriots,... Euro countries first need to spend hundreds of billions to catch-up on the techno.

100,000 American troops in Europe = a free ride for Europeans? Let's check the facts. 🔹 American military bases are not free Germany, Italy, Spain, and Romania pay for the infrastructure, land, utilities, and civilian personnel of US bases. Germany alone contributes over $1 billion annually to support the American military presence on its soil. 🔹 Europe is the largest customer of the American defense industry F-35s, Patriot missiles, HIMARS, Apaches — all purchased by Europeans with real money. Every security alarm in Europe translates into contracts for Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Boeing. 🔹 American bases in Europe don't only protect Europe Ramstein in Germany coordinates operations across Africa and the Middle East. Sigonella in Italy covers the Mediterranean and North Africa. Romania secures the eastern flank and the Black Sea. These are global American strategic assets — not neighborhood security for Europeans. 🔹 Command is American, not European NATO is always led by an American Supreme Commander (SACEUR). Europe contributes troops, bases, and money — but America holds the controls. Those who control the structure are not the ones getting a free ride. 🔹 The nuclear umbrella is not altruism American nuclear deterrence in Europe keeps the dollar as the world's reserve currency, keeps European markets open to US corporations, and legitimizes American hegemony against Russia and China. But what would actually happen if America withdrew its troops from Europe? 🔹 For America — immediate strategic losses Without bases in Europe, American response time to any crisis in Europe, Africa, or the Middle East grows from hours to days. Ramstein, Sigonella, and Incirlik cannot be replaced by aircraft carriers. Infrastructure built over decades disappears overnight. 🔹 The American defense industry loses its biggest customer A Europe without the US umbrella will build its own defense industry — and fast. Airbus Military, KNDS, Leonardo, and Rheinmetall will take the contracts that Lockheed and Raytheon currently win. Billions of dollars shift from America to Europe. 🔹 The dollar weakens Dollar hegemony is partly sustained by American global military credibility. A withdrawal from Europe signals to the world that America no longer guarantees the postwar order. Alternatives — the euro, the yuan — become more attractive as global reserve options. 🔹 Russia wins without firing a single shot Not necessarily through immediate invasion — but through political influence, energy pressure, and the gradual destabilization of countries on the eastern frontier. The Baltic states, Poland, and Romania enter a security grey zone that no one can guarantee quickly. 🔹 China watches and draws conclusions about Taiwan A precedent of withdrawal from Europe sends a direct signal to Beijing: American commitments are negotiable. The cost of deterrence in the Pacific rises exponentially. Withdrawal is not isolationism. It is strategic abdication. America would not be leaving Europe because it no longer has interests there. It would be leaving while ignoring that those very interests are what make it a superpower. The "free ride" narrative doesn't describe Europe. It describes exactly what America has in Europe.

The Denmark detail is the one that should stop people cold. NATO allies had to genuinely war-game shooting down American planes. Some of their military leaders still haven't fully processed having run that exercise. The most popular app in the country identified American products to avoid buying. And now Trump is demanding - his word - those same allies solve the Strait of Hormuz problem his war created. NATO invoked Article 5 once. For us. Their soldiers died in Afghanistan. He told reporters they stayed "a little back." Their governments remember that. They've drawn the conclusions and they aren't reversible.

@Ian_Willoughby There are 3 reasons, 1) 2010 Greek euro crisis 2) 2015 migration crisis 3) green deal. There are plenty of good things EU brought but these 3 totaly spoilt Czech's view on EU. It looks like the west EU lived in multiculti-green dreamland but things are starting to move now.

Why did Trump suddenly “back down” on Greenland? Because he was shown not a map, but a calculator. Rutte made it clear to Trump: a Danish pension fund had begun dumping U.S. debt securities. Then the most interesting part: the EU was ready to do the same—on a massive scale. That would mean: - Collapse of the U.S. government bond market - Spike in interest rates - Financial panic The bill? Not billions, but tens of trillions of dollars. Trump is no idiot. Like Putin, he understands only the language of force. This time, the force wasn’t tanks, but finance. Suddenly, “Greenland” stopped being “vital.” A fairy tale about a “new deal” emerged. But the truth is simple: nothing new. All old agreements with Denmark remain in place. Trump just calls them “new” to hide his retreat. When someone can crash your economy, heroism ends quickly.
