New Covid cases in the US have hit a record high. Most are mild, at least for the vaccinated. But hospitals are filling again with the unvaccinated. And deaths are up as well. Time for another expose on Critical Race Theory from Fox News.

The polarization of our General Assembly has led to some of the most extreme legislation in decades, including assaults on women’s health, failing to address climate change, stripping workers of their rights, and refusing to stand up to the epidemic of gun violence.

It goes without saying that the constant parade of Covid deniers, vaccine skeptics, and other cranks on Fox News and the rest of the right-wing media system have deceived and endangered their own audiences and spread misery and death unnecessarily. Quite an accomplishment

Many have explained the lackluster jobs report yesterday on the delta wave. But it also shows the broader failure of the market. Government has to insure that the vaccine is adopted widely, through mandates if necessary, to provide safe environments for workers and customers.

Worth noting that Synema and Manchin are obstructing popular proposals. Quinnipiac just found 57-40 in favor of social spending even with the “scary” $3.5 trillion price in the question. 57 percent favor doing more on climate change, only 21 percent responded that we do too much.
