Happy 90th Birthday to our magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It led to the creation of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Act 1922 which mandated the use of materials made in NSW as much as possible. The current government could learn a lesson 😉
Am I the only one who got public transport etiquette drilled into me as a child? It is 5am please put your god damn earphones in. We don’t all want to listen to your shitty music. Thankyou.
From tomorrow, Sydney Trains will return to a full weekday timetable and there will be an overall increase in NSW TrainLink Intercity services.

Due to industrial action, a limited rail timetable is in operation. Services may be less frequent and trips may take longer than usual.
A limited number of buses have also been arranged
Please limit travel where possible and use alternative modes of transport.
@ChoyceTara Hi Tara, at this stage trains tomorrow will run to the same timetable as they did today - so if you caught the train today, it'll run at the same time tomorrow. We'll put out a tweet a little later once it's confirmed and the apps/website will be updated overnight again.
Due to industrial action, trains will run every 30 minutes on most lines. Services may be less frequent and trips may take longer than usual.
A limited amount of buses have also been arranged

Ahh central station is fun this afternoon #sydneytrains#sydney how come my trains never seem to match up? I’m always just a little late for the next connection
This whole limited service thing is great really. I’d forgotten what peak service looked like pre-pandemic, I’d forgotten how close you can get to total strangers. #sydneytrains#sydney#packedlikesardines
Just a friendly reminder that yesterday David Elliot shut down the entire Sydney rail network for industrial leverage, lied about a #FakeStrike, compared rail workers to terrorists, and then lied about lying. Why hasn't @Dom_Perrotet sacked him yet? #nswpol

@T1SydneyTrains Hi, sorry to be a bother but I’m seeing rumours that they’re running tomorrow? Just want to know before I have to get up at 3am, you know?
Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink intercity services are not running today due to industrial action.
Please avoid travel wherever possible, use alternative modes of transport and allow extra travel time on other modes of transport.
Let's be crystal clear about what is going in on NSW. The RTBU intended to take legitimate and legal industrial action today which would not have affected service. Workers would have worked as per their normal roster. The employer, however, chose to shut down the rail network. 1
