I genuinely don't understand people like Bezos and Musk.
If I had billions of dollars, I would just start fixing everything. Homeless veterans sleeping on the streets? Not on my watch. Hungry children going to bed with empty stomachs? Hell no.
They could be making life better but instead choose to build spaceships and data centers to pump stocks and destroy the planet

HOLY CRAP Trump actually accomplished a miracle. Here is what he got out of Iran:
- Reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium by about 98%
- Limit uranium enrichment to 3.67% purity (far below weapons-grade)
- Cut the number of installed centrifuges by roughly two-thirds
- Only enrich uranium at one declared site (Natanz)
- Stop enrichment activities at Fordow and convert it into a research facility
- Redesign the Arak heavy-water reactor so it could not easily produce weapons-grade plutonium
- Ship out or dilute excess enriched uranium
Allow extensive inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Permit continuous monitoring of nuclear facilities and supply chains
- Accept “snap” inspections under expanded monitoring rules
- Avoid building new heavy-water reactors for years
- Stay within strict limits on uranium stockpile size and centrifuge development for set periods ranging from 10–25 years

Jane Caro admits that the first thing her father did when he heard her mother was pregnant with her was buy a tv set. This was 1957 in England. Do you know how many 'working class' people had tv sets in 1957? I will tell you. Almost none. We got one exactly one decade later in 1967. Her background is one of relative wealth and never having to worry about food nor bills. Her father went to Cambridge University in the 1940's/50's and after various executive roles in business he ended up being the manager of World Series Cricket under Kerry packer. She lead a life of relative luxury and has had a leg up in every aspect of her life thru her father's connections ever since. She wouldn't know what it was like to live on the dole any more than she would know how to work a crane.

The left wing position is not to support high immigration numbers for the sake of it, it is to support migrants’ RIGHTS.
But the debate is never presented on those terms because it doesn’t suit the right.

Conservatives love saying “don’t erase history” right up until the history makes them uncomfortable.
A land acknowledgement is literally just acknowledging reality: Indigenous people were here first, treaties exist, and colonization happened.
That’s not “racist,” that’s history.
What’s actually concerning is how some people are so fragile they hear basic respect for Indigenous peoples and immediately feel attacked.
Imagine being offended by truth, respect, and reconciliation. 🇨🇦
