@Unity_MoT Good point. The busy background makes everything worse.

@ChrisDerrer Part of what throws that off is that the transition from the white background to the Bomber statute and the blue background of the hawthorn bush graphic at the top of the page is off centre, which throws everything off visually.

Not the most important issue, I know, but the visual design of some of our social media output, especially the pre-match team sheet is really starting to grate. #wba Rather than post a long thread, I've knocked up an annotated version of the team sheet for the Pompey game, listing all the problems with it, and then produced a mock up of the same team sheet that addresses those issues using a simple design principle - clarify and simplify. So, what do people think? Am I being unfair here or do other fans find the current design annoying and difficult to read, especially on a mobile phone screen?

@Unity_MoT Absolutely agree on all of this. Feels hastily thrown together with styles and backgrounds that don't mesh very well. Most weeks I see other teams doing a far better job.

Part of the problem I have with the ornamental divider is that, based on others we're using as well, it comes from a clip art set of 'vintage' decorations of no fixed period or style. It looks vaguely late Edwardian going on into Art Deco without being definitively one or the other, hence the team room menu reference. If you're going to go for a period look then go all in, don't half-arse it.

@Unity_MoT Overall though, as a design geek, I do agree that this year's team sheets/other socials have been some of the least pleasing on the eye in recent memory.

@Unity_MoT Heggebø spelling is probably down to the chosen font not having that character as part of the kit. Not right, I agree, but probably can't be helped without changing font.
