I’ve been asked the question of “what’s more painful, your favorite team making it far and losing, or not making it at all? While last years #NYR playoff exit was heartbreak, being this angry and disappointed hurts more I think. What do you all think?

A little personal announcement as we brace for 2025: #NYR will return to practice at 11am today, but as I mentioned on last week's pod, I'm about to embark on my remaining paternity leave. I feel a little weird about missing a few weeks now, but I prioritized coming back early for training camp and the start of the season, figuring I could save the rest of my leave for January, when there's typically a lull in the season. (Little did I know...) I hope everyone understands that this is precious time I can't get back with my family. It's a chance to make up for moments missed while I've been grinding the last few months, and with my rockstar wife returning to work next week, it's also a chance to save on daycare costs for a little extra time. (Those with kids feel the pain.) The coverage won't halt while I'm out. I've got a new story coming next week with a big-picture outlook on the decisions facing the Rangers, and we'll still have reporters covering most games. Big thanks to @RobertAitkenJr, @seanfarrell92 and @Bert_Bainbridge for having my back on that. (You should follow them if you don't already!) I'm sure I'll still chime in from time to time (in between diaper changes and feedings) and be back before you know it.
