Gold Plan standings after April 15th: With wins by #NYR and #TimeToHunt, the top-3 is set, despite some games left to play tonight. Rangers will pick first, #Canucks 2nd and the Panthers despite a late elimination climb all the way to 3rd overall with a 3-3-1 record.

The Seahawks are favorites in 14 of their 17 games. The three games they are underdogs: - Week 12 49ers - Week 15 Eagles - Week 18 Rams One of these things is not like the others...

I’m asking a genuine question. Northampton are 1st and Bristol are 5th on the PREM rugby table… and this is the scoreline. Would something like this ever happen in “defence-is-optional” Super Rugby? Apparently not. South Africans were just bitter about leaving a great competition, so the sour grapes turned into nonstop trash talk about Super Rugby online. Super Rugby is still the greatest franchise rugby comp in the world and you know it. #PREMRugby #Rugbg #NORvBRI

What would really upset all these bitter English rugby journalists is if the URC adds an English Shield comprising of Ealing Trailfinders and the Phoenix clubs of Wasps, London Irish and Worcester Warriors

@StatBoy_Steven From what I'm hearing Carels is more of a safe bet. Lawrence high upside but too much of a risk. Drury can't miss.

@BOSunofficialGM The problem is that the NHL is a copy-cat league so they will go with whatever won the cup that year. I distinctly remember John Davidson wanting Braden Schneider in 2020 because he reminded him of Victor Hedman 😂

I’m very pleased that the postseason play of the Panthers bullied six other franchises into passing on Hagens last year. Now we’re talking about a pivot back to the little guys. Teams should just take the guy they think will help them win.
Stat Boy Steven 🇳🇱🇮🇪@StatBoy_Steven

I wonder if the post-season performances of Zach Benson, Logan Stankoven and Cole Caufield this year might make GMs consider a player like Björck in the 5-10 range. Rangers at 5th overall should jump at the opportunity if he's there.

@6Blackhawks @anonlarry69 That's Adam Klapka who plays for the Calgary Flames. 6'8", 235 lbs, yet Viggo Björck pushes him off the puck. But no... Viggo Björck is 5'10", so he can't be any good. Need more size 🙄

A lot of the attention for Sweden will be on Ivar Stenberg but make sure you watch Viggo Bjorck as well. The undersized C has been stellar for Sweden against Canada so far, winning some big faceoffs, battling through contact and standing his own all over the ice. #2026NHLDraft

Hockey Canada has made zero meaningful changes to their culture. It was all a show. That’s my opinion, but this organization is rotten to the core. Stop protecting yourselves financially and protecting abusers, start protecting kids, period.

Me all year: “Viggo Björck has a complete level and strength for his size I’ve rarely seen” My Comment Section all year: “Nah he’s small and not that strong” Crosby the strongest and hardest working undersized forward in history: That kid works hard. Me: Happy. 😊

Piggybacking off of this, It’s a shame the #NYR only have a 3–4 person analytics department. The lack of investment/focus in that area consistently shows in the decisions this GM makes. It’s not like $$$ is an obstacle…this is a FOUR BILLION DOLLAR organization.
Taj@taj1944

Dhaliwal: Gold wanted a bigger analytics department in Vancouver. He didn't think the Canucks had the technical resources required. He wanted them to invest more in that area. (Halford & Brough)

When it comes to prospects like Viggo Björck, the raw talent is there for the size to not be an issue, that's the point I was trying to make. When you get to the 5th and 6th round, I understand wanting to go with more established characteristics, because you'd be looking at depth guys there. But at 5th overall, you just cannot afford to go with a safe pick. Swing for the fences. Draft the raw talent with a high ceiling.

@StatBoy_Steven It should, but these guys are also the anomalies and exceptions to the norm. That said, I believe Viggo will be too.

Viggo Björck winning puck battles against NHL players and holding his own in the circle against Ryan O’freaking’Reilly at 18. Because he’s 5-foot-9.5, however, as per NHL tradition, the third best player in the class will be available in the teens (just test driving this take).

@Michael35953222 Yes. And I am saying that every year only 2-3 players become full time NHLers straight out of the draft. I only see McKenna and Stenberg doing that this year. No one else.
