@DonChytil2dot0 I think NHL14 was also the last time you could play Be A Pro-mode with existing players. After that it became this watered down mode where you had to create a player. Also, once the announcers in the game started mentioning X-factors a few years ago, I kinda gave up.

They’ll be moving one of their vets to cover it. That’s usually how teams make room in situations like this. It’s not as uncommon as you seem to think.

Realistically, he isn’t likely to make $18 next season even with an offer sheet because wingers just aren’t as valuable as centers. He could make get to $16.

I am way past the point of using stats and charts to prove why Braden Schneider sucks. That’s obvious If you watched him play these past few seasons and think he’s anything more than a low end 3rd pair defenseman, your eye test fails you #NYR

It’s usually a 1 year contract at the minimum required to retain said players rights. In Gauthier case, it’s something around 875k. Nothing is stopping him from signing that, and waiting for a potential offer sheet next year.

@StatBoy_Steven @NYRLouie &not by a lot....Schneider is not good defensively at all and provides 0 offense. There is nothing that he does well besides skating. He has little hockey IQ, loses battles along the boards constantly, terrible giveaways in the DZ, inability to transition out of the DZ
