Few notes after #iubase win over Vanderbilt: - Indiana is now 4-0 in midweek games this season - Today’s win marks the first victory over an SEC program since 2022 where they took down Auburn, Texas, and Kentucky - Hogan Denny becomes the 4th IU player in the sophomore class to record four hits in a game, joining Hanley, Malamazian, and Moore - Ivan Mastalski with a stellar outing again. The freshman should see a move to the weekend bullpen staff. That would give IU a rotation of Neubeck, Thomas, Bergman (when healthy) and a bullpen that may piggyback with Rivera, Seebold, Yarberry, and now Mastalski. They have Michael Sarhatt, Conner Linn, Jacob Vogel, and Kaden Jacobi as well. - Offense continues to be my question mark. They tallied 10 hits today against Vandy’s pitching staff. Could see momentum rolling into the weekend vs. Minnesota - The team, and especially the offense, feeds off the crowd energy.
