At a training competition in Thialf today Jenning de Boo skated a 1500m, which he rarely does, and his start was incredible with 23.09s. Only 4 times has someone been faster at sea level, so he's in good shape! #schaatsen #speedskating

With 22.93 @ChrisFiola just skated the 7th fastest opener ever on the 1500 meters! In 2005 @erbenwennemars opened under 23 seconds for the first time in history, and now, more than 16 years later, Fiola did it for the 10th time.
