Cytopoint injections. Lasts 4-8 weeks depending on environment, diet and the dog. "It uses monoclonal antibodies (proteins) to target and neutralize Interleukin-31 (IL-31), the main protein responsible for triggering the sensation of itching in dogs. By blocking this signal, it stops the scratch-itch cycle."
Also fleas are a big trigger point for my dog so I do keep him on a prescription flea med, as much as I hate using them. Otherwise he gets so bad, all his hair starts falling out. Cytopoint was a life saver. I don't know where you live but it costs me $70 every shot in south Alabama. You should start seeing relief within 24 hours after the shot. He gets his about every 5-6 weeks in the summer, in the winter we can go 6-7.
Can anyone recommend something for the dog I inherited from my mom? He’s allergic to something and is always scratching.
I’ve tried
Benadryl for dogs
Allergy natural spray
Allergy medicated shampoo
Allergy natural shampoo
Changed food three times but he is very picky and doesn’t eat much of anything
What should I be doing? Help
@bekahj Cytopoint allergy shot from the vet. Lasts 6-8 weeks. It's a miracle. Not cheap but it's dosed by weight so shouldn't be too much for your pup. We get it for our dog and it's amazing.
He has no concept of personal space.
At this point its like I have 1 strangely shaped dog with 2 butts and each butt has a head 🤷🏻♀️
They are eating their pizzle stuck in a cowskin roll as a holder, in case anyone was wondering.
Nothing like getting called back for a second interview, feeling like you really nailed the interview, and then not getting the job to really kill any tiny bit of confidence you had.
