Not at all. You end up with Myers, Garland, OEL, etc. when you go out and sign stupid contracts. That's not what I'm suggesting here. I'm suggesting the Canucks keep one veteran RW who likely doesn't have much trade value at all. Of course, if you're offered a 1st round pick or a good prospects you should move him. But I don't see that happening. I think we could get a haul for Hronek. Last year Dobson was traded for 2 first round picks at the draft. I could see Hronek getting something similar. Perhaps Hronek + Canucks 2nd round pick for San Jose's 1 and Edmonton's 1.

Cap space shouldn’t be an issue right now. In fact, the Canucks should weaponize cap space by taking back some bad contracts. Pettersson, DeBrusk, Marcus Pettersson, and Hronek should all be traded this summer (IMO). I think trading Hronek to San Jose could be the key to being able to draft the Ruck twins.
