A chart showing progressives are more likely to call mild distress “mental illness” does not show that progressives are weaker people. It shows a difference in vocabulary and in where people set the bar for the word. The researchers who built that data read the same trend as rising mental health literacy and lower stigma, and they say plainly it does not prove causation or that anyone is actually more ill. Rob has taken “one group uses a broader word” and turned it into “leftism is destroying our best and brightest, course correct immediately.” You cannot get from how someone labels a stranger’s bad week to a claim about their character, let alone a causal story about ideology damaging young minds. As a conservative, this really bothers me. Burke’s whole warning was against seizing a thin abstraction and using it to justify sweeping, urgent correction of society. “Course correct immediately” off one survey chart is that impulse exactly. It is rationalist overreach in a conservative costume, which is the thing conservatism is meant to guard against, not perform. And worse, the actual issue gets buried. Youth self harm and despair have genuinely risen on hard measures no vocabulary choice can inflate. That is a serious problem for real kids, and it deserves prudence, not a culture war slogan aimed at the people you dislike. Do better.

@ChrisKFilms @oilingoal made good points on how you use the 3 goalie system by playing the goalies against teams that minimize weaknesses and maximize strengths. It's why he advocates for having different styles of goalies.

@ChrisKFilms It was 15.6 last year, so it dragged down his average from the previous two seasons. Still really strong results. The changes to the Canes transition game last year opened him up to more quality rush chances, which is his weakness.

@BlueBullet1981 Keep in mind though, at Andersen’s age you can’t expect him to be what he was 3 years ago. But having said that, he’s clearly better than Jarry.
