Wasn’t expecting to see this on a trip to Jerez. Some interesting and different white wines made with Palomino. Wonder if we’ll be seeing more wines like this in the coming years. @barbadillo

Uh oh. It’s only going to take one week of frost over the next six weeks and that’s France 2024 vintage down the U-bend. Fingers crossed for the country’s growers.

La France vit probablement la première quinzaine de février la plus chaude jamais observé avec un excédent thermique impressionnant proche des +4°C proche de 2002. Dans la foulée, février 2024 sera le 25ème mois au-dessus des normes à la suite en France. La végétation à une semaine à un mois d'avance. Les paysages sont fleuris dans le Roussillon. Les variétés les plus précoces sont dorénavant exposées au gel. En cas de continuité de la douceur jusqu'en mars puis de gel, ça sera encore une fois une hécatombe...

Just heard that vintage has started in Roussillon. Yep. On August 3rd. If this carries on pretty soon French vignerons will be able to do harvest and still go on holiday for the whole of August.
