From a film from late 1960’s early 1970’s, looks like stock footage put together to form a film. Not a good copy, just a quick setup, using my iPhone, I was a bit impatient, just fixed my 16mm projector, after being broken your years, will get better quality soon

Fact of the Day: The Voyager (Boeing A380) carries a BAC 1-11 on its back to use as an escape pod in an emergency, the 1-11 can also be used to carry personnel when the Voyager working in an air-to-air refuelling role and is full of petrol instead of seats Photo from a Canberra

Trev Clark's Obscure Aviation History 🚁
Student navigators at work in a Vickers Varsity T.1 aircraft of No. 2 ANS based at RAF Hullavington in the late 1960s. I never managed a flight in a Varsity, but apparently I didn't miss much. They had a tendency to 'wallow' in turbulence, often causing much air sickness.🤢🤮

@rawlimark And my worry, was making sure I had black tape with me to cover up certain buttons on flight deck, when doing local boy photos 😁

A Convair 990 Coronado of American Airways, seen 'seeding the atmosphere' in the 1960s...over half a century before some 'crazy people' found out about it and started protesting on social media! 😂

A closer look at the detail of the construction. The aircraft is being placed on the supports tomorrow and Sunday. Those wishing to witness it are encouraged to do so by those putting her in place. (I don’t need to say this I’m sure, but please do so responsibly!)

Years later, I applied for his medals, as Percy was my dads half brother, from grandmother’s first marriage, I then went looking for, Percy’s full blood niece , who I eventually found, and handed her the medals

He was posted mia on 25th May 1944, I believe they were attempting a retreat, subsequently this date became his presumed date of death, as his body was never recovered. Grandmother Lizzie, refused to accept, his medals, because she believed he was still alive.
