Lovely old plane went over just now, sounded lovely. Keeping low due to the cloud cover. Shame I didn't get a better photo of it though! Anyone able to identify it?

@Puntoboy Bear in mind that wind turbine is probably on higher ground than the terrain they are actually over. 250ft above ground is our minimum.

After what has undoubtedly been a nerve wracking and very busy weekend, @LongmateAdy and the team @Bombergateway have placed their beautiful tribute to Bomber Command next to the A46 at Norton Disney. Huge respect to them for achieving what they aimed to. Be proud Lincolnshire!

A closer look at the detail of the construction. The aircraft is being placed on the supports tomorrow and Sunday. Those wishing to witness it are encouraged to do so by those putting her in place. (I don’t need to say this I’m sure, but please do so responsibly!)

We are thrilled to announce that all profits from the sales of this incredible event patch will jointly go to ‘Great Ormond Street Hospital’ and the ‘Mark Long Trust’ that is in the process of being set up by Mark’s family and friends. On 30 January 2005, we lost 10 of Britain’s best when RAF Hercules XV179 crashed in Iraq. I had been serving with this aircrew just a month previously. I am truly grateful for the recognition of this tragedy from our Prime Minister and the whole House of Commons today. We will remember them.
