I have it mostly dialed in, need some weight added to the outside wings but overall I’m happy with the results so far on some nice loam, ground has spots with green slim on the surface so this can only help get some air in. #sidedress24

Spent some time looking over my late grandfather’s weed seed collection this evening. It was for a course @UofGuelphOAC that he collected in 1949. Anyone know the weed in 2nd pic, or what Rib Grass and Pitch Fork weeds are?

@kevinki16180099 @DEKALB_Canada Not a lot of plots or field side by sides with both platforms in them so it’s really hard to say but if it means a field full of weeds or little to no weeds I would choose the herbicide platform that works best for the situation

@kevinki16180099 @DEKALB_Canada Xtend only sales will slow, Xtendflex and Enlist varieties will take over both offer the option of glufosinate or Liberty post emerge, Xtend and Enlist both have their strengths and weaknesses as a preplant or early post emerge,both can play an important role in weed management

@ChrisSnip1 @DEKALB_Canada Chris do you think extend sales will slow with Enlist beans selling more ,or will traits be area weed specific. There was some nasty waterhemp escapes in out county this yr.

@McLean_Scott86 Definitely a hybrid trait, Mycogen used to have several hybrids with white cobs, in your case it could be the refuge, others have mentioned it this fall

Any thoughts on what would cause a white cob on corn ear?

Some variation in the stem colour on waterhemp, leaf shape can also vary, this weed is becoming more widespread across sw Ontario

With these pop up showers keep in mind Xtendimax, Roundup Xtend and Engenia has a 4 hour rainfast
